Although The Odyssey focuses on a man’s journey home, the epic poem dedicates many pages to depicting a wide range of women. The Scarlet Letter depicts adultery and struggles of conformity in society’s puritan Era, depicting Hester in multiple ways.  Using evidence from The Odyssey by Homer and The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, write a well-developed literary analysis essay in which you compare and contrast how each author depicts the role of women in society and the illustration of the theme “Women as predatory”.
